The foundation of most successful political work depends on the effort in the local precinct. Oregon Trail Democrats have 15 precincts in House District 52 within Clackamas County. Democratic leaders in each precinct are Precinct Committee Persons (PCPs). Each precinct has a number of PCPs, balanced between men and women. Precinct Committee Persons are the lifeblood of the Democratic Party. For Democrats to take this country back and lead it forward, we must all pitch in. You have the power to help rebuild our economy, ensure schools are fully funded, and to establishing a fair and just society. There are almost always vacant PCP positions. Come to a meeting and volunteer to be a PCP. As a PCP, you are the most influential contact many voters have in making their decision making. This personal contact is a responsibility to represent clearly the party’s mission but it’s an invaluable opportunity to win a Democratic vote!

You can make the difference in November. The 2008 elections are just around the corner. Democrats need your help to get the word out about how a Democratic President, Congress, and Oregon leadership will improve the lives of Oregonians. We need Democrats to become Neighborhood Leaders. You only need to pledge to contact at least 25 voters in your neighborhood about Democratic candidates at least 3 times between now and November 4th.Sign up here on a web form or email Susan Gates at shgates@hughes.net or call her at (503) 668-9628 and she will sign you up. In the Spring, Neighborhood Leaders will get a list of 25 voters in their neighborhood, maps, and talking points. Susan will be glad to download that information for you. Just let her know. |
